Frequently asked questions about DeltaForge.
Is DeltaForge only for Mac?
For now, yes. DeltaForge is a Mac desktop app, with downloads for Apple silicon and Intel-based Macs. Windows and Linux support is planned on the roadmap.
Which brokers does DeltaForge connect to?
Interactive Brokers, through Trader Workstation (TWS) or IB Gateway and the TWS API, and Charles Schwab, through the Schwab API with your own Schwab individual developer app. DeltaForge is not affiliated with any broker.
Does DeltaForge provide market data?
No. DeltaForge provides no market data of its own. You bring your own: your brokerage account's live data and any data sources you connect, such as ThetaData or Massive with your own API key.
Which economic data sources can I connect?
FRED, BLS, BEA, Census economic indicators, U.S. Treasury Fiscal Data, EIA, FDIC, FFIEC, SEC EDGAR, CFTC Commitments of Traders, and IMF PortWatch. Every data connector is free to download from the Store inside the app.
Does DeltaForge include its own AI?
No. DeltaForge doesn't ship a chatbot. The app is AI-ready: you bring your own AI agent. Launch Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode from the agent panel inside the app. With the agent's command-line tool installed, it connects automatically.
What can my AI agent do in DeltaForge?
It can discover installed plugins and their data, read live values such as positions and quotes, send requests to data connectors, take screenshots of panels with your approval, and write, install, upgrade, and uninstall plugins.
Can DeltaForge or my AI agent place trades on its own?
DeltaForge does not hold funds, execute trades independently, or provide investment advice. The AI agent builds tools and automations. You decide if and when they run.
Can I build my own plugins?
Yes. Plugins can be written in Go, Python, or TypeScript for frontend panels. Describe what you want and your AI agent builds and installs the plugin, or write the code yourself.
Can I hide account numbers while screen sharing?
Yes. One privacy switch hides sensitive numbers such as account value, P&L, and position sizes.
