The BLS connector fetches economic data series from the BLS Public Data API: CPI, PPI, employment, and JOLTS releases and their history. Data is fetched on demand and cached for anything in the app that needs it.
BLS data you can fetch
- Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI) series.
- Employment series.
- Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) series.
- Single series, batches of series, and series over a date range.
What you can do with BLS data in DeltaForge
- Put inflation and labor data on a macro dashboard next to your positions, such as a correlation matrix of BLS series.
- Your AI agent can send requests to this connector over MCP and answer from the reply, or build a panel from it.
- Results are cached locally in the embedded analytics database, so repeat queries run at desktop speed.
- Your own plugins can request the same data and combine it with your positions.
Access and API keys
A BLS registration key is optional. Without one, the connector uses the BLS unregistered tier and caps itself at 25 requests a day. A registration key from bls.gov/developers, entered in the connector's settings, raises the cap to 500 requests a day.

This product uses the BLS Public Data API but is not endorsed or certified by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. BLS.gov cannot vouch for the data or analyses derived from these data after the data have been retrieved from BLS.gov.
